Plans for our Study Abroad Course in Xalapa, Mexico are moving forward and we want to make you aware of several deadlines which are rapidly approaching.

  1. February 1, 2006- The application form and deposit $250 for the course. Checks should be made payable to the University of Georgia.
  2. February 9, 2006 - Orientation, 212 Conner Hall, 5:30-6:30 p. m. Required Attendance! Discussion of homestay, paperwork, etc.
  3. March 1, 2006 - Balance of plane fare due. Estimated cost — tba.
  4. March 9, 2006 - Orientation No. 2, 212Conner Hall, 5:30-6:30 p. m.
  5. April 3, 2006 - Balance of course costs due.
  6. April 3, 2006 - Proof of UGA Health Center visit.
  7. April 13, 2006 - Orientation No. 3, 212 Conner Hall, 5:30-7:00 p. m.
  8. May 16, 2006 - Class begins at 310 Conner Hall, time to be announced.
  9. May 17, 2006 - Departure to Mexico.

    Critical items needed before March 9, 2006:

  1. Passport or proof of application. Go to the U. S. Post Office on Olympic Drive, Athens, GA with your birth certificate and one additional photo ID. Everything can be done at the Post Office if your documents are in order. Call first at 1-800-275-8777.
  2. Universidad Veracruzana registration will be presented at orientation.
  3. Personal photo, standard passport size.
